A seasoned arts administrator, Barb has been involved in programming, production, and cultural planning at the municipal and provincial level for a number of years. Prior to joining The Arts Office, Barb was Manager of Arts at 2010 Legacies Now where she oversaw funding programs designed to strengthen arts, heritage and cultural organizations across British Columbia. She has held senior management positions with major orchestras in Winnipeg and Vancouver, worked in the media arts program at Banff Centre, and taught in the Arts Management program at Confederation College in Thunder Bay. Her work with educational institutions has included the University of Victoria's Cooperative Education Program and B.C.'s Open Learning Agency and Knowledge Network where she was Manager of Marketing, Sales and Licensing. An active musician, Barb plays violin and serves as a volunteer on the board of a large community orchestra in Vancouver.
