North Shore Jazz

Since 1998, the Cap Jazz Series has hosted a number of renowned international jazz artists including Kurt Elling, Kenny Werner, Joe Lovano, Terence Blanchard, Phil Woods, Ed Thigpen, and Regina Carter. In addition, the Cap Jazz Series balances out its programming with fully professional ensembles and in the last few years have presented a number of world music groups including Latin and African jazz. 

By 2002, with the success of the Cap Jazz Series, the North Shore Jazz Festival was created to coincide with the TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival. North Shore Jazz happens in June each year as a satellite component of the VIJF.

North Shore performances take place at the BlueShore Financial Centre for the Performing Arts at Capilano University, and at other indoor and outdoor venues in North Vancouver.
