
With more than thirty industry professionals providing instruction, mentoring and guidance, Capilano University’s School of Motion Picture Arts is unique among Canadian film schools, offering an industry-based curriculum, an intensive "hands-on" approach to film making, and the opportunity to develop and produce an increasingly ambitious slate of student films.
The School of Motion Picture Arts is the academic umbrella under which are to be found all of the film-related programs, including: Certificate, Diploma and Bachelor Degree in Motion Picture Arts; Certificate in Documentary; Certificate in Cinematography; Certificate and Diploma in Costuming; and Certificate in Indigenous Independent Digital Film (formerly Aboriginal Film and Television Production). Also offered are summer programs in Lighting and Grip work for Digital Imaging and Film.
