Artists Among Us - Edytha Boyle Barker
By day, she's a Committee Clerk in the City of North Vancouver's Community Development Department. But after hours, Edytha Boyle Barker releases her inner artist creating beautiful beaded necklaces, earrings and other one-of-a-kind crafts. Edytha believes that when a person has a creative eye, it’s like a muscle – the more you use it, the stronger it becomes.
2012 Project Grants Approved - Round One
The 2012 Art in the Garden Tour is just one of twelve events that recently received municipal support through the Project Grants Program administered by the Arts Office. Project Grants are available to a wide and diverse range of arts, cultural and community organizations to support projects, events and other activities that take place in North Vancouver.
Wilbur's Web - North Vancouver City Library
Quotes from E.B. White's beloved children's book Charlotte's Web are floating through the air in North Vancouver's City Library thanks to a unique public artwork by artist Alan Storey. Wilbur's Web is a large kinetic artwork that straddles the Library’s two interior stair wells.
North Vancouver Cultural Plan, 2012-2025
The development of a new Cultural Plan for North Vancouver is now underway. The North Vancouver Cultural Plan, 2012-2025 will be a guiding document that will renew, refresh and re-envision plans for the ongoing development of arts and culture in the City and District of North Vancouver.
Culture Days 2012 on the North Shore
Building on the success of 2011, the North Shore creative community is laying plans for an even bigger Culture Days celebration in September 2012. Culture Days is a collaborative pan-Canadian volunteer movement to raise the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of all Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities.

15th Annual Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival
Celebrating mountain sports and culture, the Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival (VIMFF) takes flight February 10 through 19, 2012. Attracting more than 20,000 viewers each year, the Festival offers an incredible line-up of unique films and presentations that illustrate experiences and cultures from all corners of the globe.
