September 23, 2010, VANCOUVER - Under the Creative Communities program, 2010 Legacies Now and the Province of British Columbia are providing $15,000 to the Arts Office to develop an arts and cultural plan that will impact the District of North Vancouver and the City of North Vancouver.

The Arts Office will create a cultural plan using community input to foster an accessible and vibrant arts scene that is integrated with larger municipal planning initiatives.

“This partnership will allow the Arts Office of North Vancouver the opportunity to create a Cultural Plan that addresses the unique nature of this part of the North Shore,” said Ian Forsyth, Director of Cultural Services. “As a single agency delivering cultural services on behalf of two different municipalities, this plan will address community engagement, facility planning, areas of interest, and will create an integrated and innovative plan supported by the Official Community Plans of both the City and the District of North Vancouver.”
