He has always been intrigued by people and all of their complex ways; therefore they are the inspiration in his paintings.
Opening Reception: Saturday, January 7, 2:00-4:00pm - January 07 - March 31VNB Fine Art Photo Workshops are new Vancouver-based photography workshops specializing in the teaching of Film Photography. We offer practical and affordable introductory training in every aspect of analog photography, while our intermediate and advanced workshops offer a great way to acquire new creative skills, get updated on contemporary practices, or gain valuable artistic insights on developing work.
- January 10 - February 05Our annual discovery juried exhibition provides exposure to emerging artists. The jurors, Ross Penhall (celebrated North Shore artist), Alison Keller (independent curator and art consultant), and Sarah Cavanaugh (Seymour Art Gallery’s curator) have selected 20 artists to exhibit. Each has created a piece that reflects our theme: water.

- February 04An evening of dance. A variety of dance styles for all ages including Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Tap, Contemporary and Acro. A performance to demonstrate all levels of dance at their best. From primary classes to competitive classes, watch them all enjoy the stage!
- February 05A benefit for Parkinson Society British Columbia, this varied afternoon of music includes choir, soprano, baritone and violin! Cecilia Ensemble Women's Choir of Capilano University is joined by lyric soprano Catherine Crouch, operatic baritone Dheni Walsh and violinist Seung Bin (Jason) Lee.
- February 08 - February 18A hilarious tale of a quiet Irish community turned upside down by the arrival of a massive Hollywood movie shoot. Universally loved by all who see it, this tour-de-force featuring two actors who play all the characters, has a disarming simple charm. From the cheeky local lads intent on becoming big movie players, to the film’s lead actress, a Hollywood diva whose Irish accent leaves a lot to be desired, 'Stones In His Pockets' stands out as one of the funniest and most moving plays of its time.
- February 08 - April 03The North Vancouver Community Arts Council is proud to present an exhibition of works by realist painter Bill Adams and clay artist Denise Jeffrey at the District Foyer Gallery.

My biggest task, no matter how much work I have, if I am travelling, on the plane, in a coffee shop, restaurant, at the friends house, at the party, is to draw one Mystic Mask and write one insight every day!
- February 15North Vancouver City Library presents a reading with YA novelist KC Dyer. As part of its new Local Author Series, North Vancouver City Library will host a reading with KC Dyer on February 15. KC Dyer is the author of multiple young adult novels and works as a freelance writer, speaker and educator in North Vancouver.
- February 17The second concert of the Ambleside Orchestra's three part New Horizons concert series takes place February 17th under the dynamic leadership of Nicolas Krusek. Now in its 20th year performing on the North Shore, the Ambleside Orchestra adjusts its helm and sails towards new musical horizons. (photo, Peter Chappell)
