North Vancouver Community Arts Council presents Canada West Illustrators Cultivating Imagination. Members of The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrations (SCBWI) represent a diverse group of emerging and published artists. Join the artists at the opening reception on Saturday, February 13, 2–4 pm at the Lynn Valley Library for a family-friendly event.
Sparking the imagination and evoking wonder is a common goal for the nine artists whose work will be on display. Merging art with story, these talented illustrators believe the experience of reading picture books fosters a rich bond between reader and child. A range of styles and media will be on display at the District Library, including watercolour, pen and ink, photography and multimedia.
