    SummerFest returns to Lonsdale Quay Market starting June 28th and will run every weekend until September 1st. This family-friendly festival will feature a variety of free activities for all ages. SummerFest 2013 is sponsored by the North Shore News with all proceeds benefiting the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation.

    The Knot is an exhibition that juxtaposes projected video with a pair of text based works and a full scale wooden reproduction of Deep Cove’s iconic lifeguard chair.

    The North Vancouver Museum & Archives is offering FREE historical walking tours of the Burrard Dry Dock shipyard site. Costumed interpreters from the Museum dress as 1940's shipyard workers and talk about what it was like to build 10,000 tonne Victory Ships during WWII. This is a very lively and theatrical performance with songs, poetry, puppets and costume changes!

    An exhibition featuring Tina Townsend's bold and inspiring 2D works. Tina is a passionate artist who gets entranced in her creations - through them she hopes to inspire a moment of passion in the lives of others.

    Join us this Saturday at Civic Plaza Craft Fairs! Local artisans will be selling their unique, hand-crafted goods. In addition to the abundance of different wares, there will be free music from 1-3PM!

    The annual Caribbean Days Festival and Parade draws a crowd of exuberant fun-lovers to North Vancouver's Waterfront Park for a weekend of parading, dining and dancing in the sunshine. This is a weekend of tropical rhythm, cuisine, carnival and culture as only the Caribbean can offer.

    Upcycle cereal boxes into nifty desk and fridge organziers at this free, all-ages workshop! Join upcycling expert Denise Corcoran, of Thrifty By Design, for crafting cereal boxes, tissue boxes & toilet paper rolls into desk organizers, fridge organizers, masks, cards, gift bags & gift tags. All ages and levels welcome.

    Discover the wonderful world of plein air painting and drawing! This class will take place outside and kids will be encouraged to explore the natural world, be creative and have fun.

    Working in the artistic traditions of his Nisga’a and Haida ancestors, Luke Parnell integrates his training in traditional Northwest Coast carving techniques, styles, and imagery, with the skills and knowledge learned from his Western mainstream university art education.
