A Call For Artists is a notice that provides artists with all of the information required to be considered for a Public Art project in the City or District of North Vancouver.  A Call will generally include project details, location, eligibility guidelines, budget and deadlines.

    The City of North Vancouver in partnership with Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) invites creative professionals interested in providing site specific public art on Spirit Trail at Lynnmouth Park to respond to this public art opportunity. MEC is currently building a new 27,000 sq foot commercial facility adjacent to Lynnmouth Park and as part of the development package they have dedicated funding for the provision of public art. The City of North Vancouver recognizing that the development site was situated in a high profile civic gateway location, has in turn contributed matching funds.

    August 24, 2011 - The District of North Vancouver Public Art Program, coordinated through the North Vancouver Arts Office is currently accepting Expressions of Interest from artists or artist teams to create and install a public artwork on the 'western' section of the North Vancouver Spirit Trail. The goal of this public art project is to create an inventive landmark feature that will serve as a “must see” destination point along the Spirit Trail. The site selected for the artwork is situated at a juncture between two roadways, industrial lands and natural parkland, providing a perfect convergence point for the placement of a vertical element.

Located on the north edge of ‘Central Lonsdale’, this mixed-use high-rise residential and commercial development aspires to bring vitality and an increased sense of urbanity to Central Lonsdale. Anticipated date for installation of selected artwork is 2013.

Legacy, a new 29-unit townhouse development will be located at 881 Premier Street in North Vancouver. The development is scheduled to be complete in late 2012.
