Public Art Geocaching
Send to friend
A hide and seek outdoor adventure activity that utilizes GPS coordinates to find Public Art in North Vancouver. The Arts Office has joined the game by hiding caches at twelve North Vancouver Public Art sites.

What is Geocaching?

Geocaching is an entertaining outdoor adventure activity for GPS enthusiasts of all ages.  It’s about finding interesting places to explore and learning new things. In accordance with the rules of the game, individuals and organizations are invited to hide caches (a type of treasure box) in specific locations anywhere in the world. Once hidden the GPS coordinates of the caches are posted on an official geocaching website. Anyone with a GPS unit can use the posted coordinates to seek out the hidden cache. The cache box usually contains a visitor log book and an eclectic mix of favorite trinkets. Whoever finds the cache box is asked to sign the log book and encouraged to exchange a trinket from the box with something equally interesting.
