2014 North Shore Culture Days - Get Set!

North Shore Culture Days weekend is shaping up to be a whole lot of fun! A big thank you goes out to those of you that have dreamed up, and are now busy planning your events.  And to those of you that haven't currently got anything planned, but have an event or activity in mind, there's still time to come on board!

Regardless of whether you're hosting a North Shore Culture Days event or not, we hope that everyone will help to spread the word.  The success of this annual community celebration will depend on our collective ability to pique the interest of the public and compel them to take advantage of this wonderful line up of free activities and events.

  Timeline for 2014 North Shore Culture Days:

May - September:  Register your event

September 4-12: Posters and promotional material distributed to participants and supporters (that means you!). Please post prominently. Let us know if you need more.

September 9:  Registration deadline for events to be included in the North Shore News 4-page section in the Sept 26th issue. Details here.

September 12:  North Shore News ad campaign begins.

September 26, 5pm:  North Shore Culture Days Official Kick Off at Shipbuilder's Square in conjunction with Friday Night Market.  City & District Mayors and special guests will be there.  You're invited too - feel free to bring info about your event to share with others.  Open to the public.

September 26, 27 & 28: North Shore Culture Days!

  Tips & Tools for promoting your event:

  • Promote directly to your own followers - audience, customers, board, volunteers, family and friends.
  • Share the love on social media! LIKE, SHARE, RETWEET information about events that cross your path.
  • Partner with other groups to increase
  • Join the conversation on Twitter - use our hashtag: #NSCultureDays.
  • Post a great photo with your event listing.
  • Add the North Shore Culture Days logo and website to your communications
