Al Lynch - Musician and NSRP Manager

Lead singer and trumpet player with the classic rock band Wager, Al Lynch knows a thing or two about public performance. In fact, Al's passion for music has been instrumental (pun intended!) in preparing him for public presentations to municipal councils and community groups that he makes on a regular basis as Manager of the North Shore Recycling Program. 

Al's group Wager, a 60's and 70's rock and R&B cover band, has been around for more than 25 years. Prior to joining Wager, Al was a founding member of the Rhythm & Blues Allstars, one of the most popular bands in the Greater Vancouver area in the late 1970's.

The Arts Office was thrilled to learn that its logo and website icons placed first in the Regional Design Awards produced by Design Edge Canada magazine, a trade publication that reaches the largest audience of professional graphic designers in Canada. Created by designers Angela Hot and David Coates of ION Branding + Design, these quirky images have made it possible for the Arts Office to put a fun and funky new face on North Vancouver's bi-municipal agency for arts and culture.

Peer Assessment represents one of the Arts Office's most important core values. In order to decide who will receive funding and how much, the Arts Office is guided by recommendations received through a peer jury review. The Arts Office seeks out individuals that are familiar with arts and culture on the North Shore, and that will bring to the table knowledge and experience in different fields of artistic and creative practice.
