Arts Office eBlast: North Shore Culture Days 2012

The North Vancouver Arts Office, in partnership with the North Shore News, invites local artists and organizations to jump on the bandwagon to celebrate North Shore Culture Days this September! Culture Days is the largest-ever collective public participation campaign undertaken by the arts and cultural community in this country. Here on Vancouver's North Shore, we're inviting artists, culture and heritage groups, libraries and community centres to participate in a special North Shore Culture Days / North Shore News promotion that will include a special 4-page newspaper spread, advertising, promotion, and an opportunity to be a 'Guest Arts Reporter' with the North Shore News.

The North Shore Culture Days / North Shore News promotion will raise the profile for participating groups and provide the community with an idea of the wide range of free, interactive events and creative opportunities that exist right here in our own backyard!

  • The first step for artists or groups interested in the North Shore Culture Days / North Shore News promotion is to pre-register your event on the Culture Days website at www.culturedays.ca. Specific activity details aren't required to pre-register, so don’t worry; you can still pre-register. Details like location or exact date/time of your activity can be marked as “TBD” (To Be Determined).

Participation in the North Shore Culture Days / North Shore News promotion is free to North Shore groups who have registered their events on the Culture Days website. Once your event is registered on the Culture Days site, please email the event details and your contact information to Barb McLean at the Arts Office at [email protected].

Details about the special North Shore Culture Days / North Shore News promotion will continue to roll out in the coming weeks. Feel free to forward this eBlast to other North Shore groups that may be interested in participating.

BONUS! Artists and organizations that pre-register on-line at culturedays.ca by Monday, April 30th will appear in a full-page Culture Days ad in The Globe and Mail newspaper later this spring.

If you have any questions about North Shore News / North Shore Culture Days , please email Barb McLean at the Arts Office at [email protected]
