Community Public Art
Community Public Art (CPA) emphasizes the potential participation of citizens in the creation of a publicly accessible artwork and encourages residents and artists to work collaboratively. The Arts Office administers two Community Public Art Programs for the City of North Vancouver and the District of North Vancouver respectively.
Community public art has a community-based design and can allow people to express their personal experiences, diversity, commonality, goals, values. This method of art making promotes community dialogue and provides an opportunity for local residents to creatively express the unique aspects of their neighbourhoods.
